I’ve got myself into a serious mess here and really need some help. Basically I’ve been working on an A-level computing project and its due in tomorrow. My problem is the lack of work I’ve put into the project, its not looking good. I’ve started the write up of the project but it’s far from complete. As for the actual project – it is functional but I’m not happy it meets my needs.
The project is a PHP booking system for a vet; clients visit the site and book an appointment online. This is an outline of the project:
“I propose to make a system that would allow a client to book appointment with the veterinary surgery over the internet. The client specifies the times/dates and description of the type of appointment. This data is then stored in a database which can be viewed by the veterinary staff. The basic idea is to produce online scheduling system offering a convenient way to make an appointment in real-time. The system would supplement the current phone booking method and also operate outside of clinic hours.”
I think I’ve got enough time to get the write up done but the actual project seems inadequate. I’ve basically followed a tutorial I found on the internet. Could anyone offer any advice as to how I can improve this project, or maybe help me get the coding side into shape?
The things I reckon I need are:
Simple login system
Some kind of moderation that would allow modification
An up and coming events box
Probably too late to implement email alerts now 🙁
Need validation on the forms :/
