i made a swf(flash) file that records information and saves it to ones harddrive - i want the file to save to an internet file, so i would be able to retreive it. i was told that i should use php. i have no idea about anything with php, im not really all that interested in learning it now beacuse of my work with flash, i just need it for this one file.

i was wondering if someone could help me make this php thing. what i need it to do is take the variables from flash and then save them to the php file on the internet. i have found someone to host the php files and keep them running.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's fairly to do...but there's a few steps:

The Flash file needs to be set up to submit an internet form. I need to know if it is using the GET or POST method (if you're not sure...that's ok)
I also need to know the variables that need to be saved
I need to know how you want it saved. Each post in a different file? Added to a comma-delimited file?

If you can provide me with that information, I would be more than happy to write some code for you.

what i have right now is the swf file saving all the information onto the harddrive with shared objects - it works as an array - and i have 2 text fields and it gets saved when you hit OK - it looks like this :

|name| |1| steve |2| bob |3| john |4| bill |pass| |1| password |2| school |3| futbol |4| archive

thats how the file would save - the name with its password - im hoping that from making this i will also be learning some so i can creat more by myself in the future
all that im concerned about it that when it is saved - i can distinguish between the two variables and i can tell which entries from which variables go together. i would hope that it can be saved as all one file. the two varibles are 'name' and 'pass' (password has a value so it cant be used as a variable).
to save it all i made an array with a variable as the [num], the array was acutally only located on the file on your hD, could i do the same thing with this php file?

is there something that i would have to setup with the flash file to make this compatible
