Does anyone have a link to how much each of the 'data types' take in a mysql database?
I am making a balancebook application. My two options for storing the information are to either make an enum for the type (debit or credit) with a double/float for the amount....OR...I can just store debits as positive values and credits as negative values. I'm mainly worried about space requirements of the extra enum field.
I'd like to be able to back up my decision with a number. Thanks if anyone can help.
