php with mailing list

I am a biggner in php language....
And i am wondring can php handle a huge mailing list(may be thousnds of records) and how can it be(explain)

Are you asking how you would store the information ( The
peoples emails and names), or are you asking how your code
would sort through the information from some storage place
(maybe a database or a file, probably database), or do you want
both? Well if you want to know how to store the information then
you would want database's, MYSQL is the best (my preference,
its also easy 😃). I need more information to know what you want.

i am not asking about how to store the name and email....

i am asking about how i will send the email to all people in my list...

the problem is "timeout" becuase if i have 1000 email...

and i am using loop and send email to each one
the operation will be time out...

how can i handle this problem......
i dont want the server hang up....i want to do this operation safely and easily...

use this at the top of your code to stop the timeouts.

ignore_user_abort(1);
