Has anyone here got much experience of the installation and administration of qmail?
I've been trying to install it on a cobalt box, following instructions at http://www.lifewithqmail.org.
It's now installed and is running, but things take forever to get through the queue. If I stop qmail, run make setup check and then start it again things sometimes shift out the queue.
Also, I can only send stuff from pine as root. If I try as the normal "admin" user, I get the error "Mail not sent. Sending error: 451 qq trouble creating files in queue"
Any ideas? I guess the permissions on the queue are wrong, but I've run things which claim to fix this, but the problem won't go away.
I can't send mail in for external accounts, nor send local mail either, it doesn't bounce, just nothing happens.
