What's for dinner?

I just fixed "Potato Skins", and got a rather good compliment from my wife... 🆒 However, the idea here is this:

I was thinking we could give each other some good ideas (for variety's sake) or even learn a bit about "what's for dinner" in other places (US, the world at large, etc. any aliens? )... so, tell us all what you're craving !!!

<-- vegetarian here. But the rest of my family is not. So I usually cook my own dinner 🙂 ...And maybe whip up some mac & Cheese for the kid.

And of course no meal is complete without some rice krispie treats for dessert! 😃

Mainly junk food, which is funny, because I only weight 115 lbs. And I eat about 3 times what most people do. 🙂

Hey, does anyone else on here eat applesauce sandwiches? My husband totally grosses out at the sight of them, but they are really quite yummy! 🙂

slice some beef, pour some oil in a wok, add onions, put meat in, add satey (yeah baby!!!) let it all melt in one delicious goo and eat with basmati rice (I almost only eat rice now...) and voila for my fav meal.

normal meal is rice from me rice cookersome salad with a lill chicken+ceasar fat free dressing.

Healthy choice for a fubar generation 😛

Now, I wouldn't necessarily 'gross out,' but where's the PB?

Sounds wonderful...

Tonight...pot roast (sorry, Elizabeth!) potatoes, carrots, onions --- (do they call this 'boiled dinner' up north, or "johnny" something or other?) Biscuits, apple pie, brownies, banana bread left by some guest...

but I'd have to admit that lunch was Taco Bell drivethru...

If I'm a 'good kid' then
I randomly(ish) choose 5 recipes outta a cookbook and buy the ingredients in the weekend... and cook after work
else
I buy a kebab (turkish food -meat and salad on rice) on the way home
or if feeling poor but too tired to cook I eat breakfast cereal (which certain people find odd)

I had a couple of grilled ham and cheeze sandwiches for lunch today. I sometimes will eat peanut butter and cheeze, but you have to put a little mayo on it to prevent it from sticking to your throat LOL

The applesauce sandwiches sound interesting, Liz... anything else on them?

Of course, I almost always wash down my meals with a Code Red. 😃

Nope, just plain ol' applesauce... but if I'm feeling adventurous I might try some of that "berry applesauce" 🙂

Today for lunch I had this Hamburger Helper crap I made with fake-soy-ground beef. Yes, it looked and smelled like dog food but it was really quite tasty. See, the cool thing about eating gross stuff that no one likes is that nobody steals your lunch from the refrigerator, and the left overs are always where you left them 🙂

And the other cool thing about this one in particular is that it's no thought and very little time involved...brown it, thrown in a pack of ?? and add water, set the table and whoop! there it is....

Of course, even that's better than my last 2 or 3 daze...like BuzzLY: ham-n-cheese 4 lunch, $5.00 at a hole in the wall near one client's office, otherwise it's been chips, PB-n-crackers, apples/bananas/raisins, cookies, candy bars, granola....

I'm gonna have to either build a gym or a graveyard on this acreage pretty soon, I reckon....

T-Bones on the BBQ (brother in law's steer, 2 weeks 'off the hoof')
"Hashed Browns" --- (grated fried potatoes, if you don't know that one)
Crescent rolls
Lettuce && tomatoes && green beans fresh from the garden
Fresh Corn (cut off the cob, someone else's garden)

Living in the country is very good sometimes.

Yeah, a huge "bump" (wha, year and 1/2?) ... but I thought maybe this time it was "in good taste." 😃 Those of you stuck with take-out or the vending machine down the hall tonight, I feel for ya! :evilgrin:

i eat basically anything that i dont need to cook unless of course someone cooked it for me 😃 pizza shapes, ice cream, chips.. yea i think we all get the gist and i only weigh like 70kg 😃
