Hi,
I'm going to install a message board on my website. It's between Invision Board, phpBB and XMB Forum and I was just wondering if anyone has used any of them on their sites before and which one would you recommend?
Thanks

I'd recommend Invision Board or phpBB. And I've used all those boards before.
phpBB is cool, not quite vBulletin (like this site) but quite competitive, although I can't speak for vBulletin's admin interface since I'm not an admin here. I like phpBB's price, of course....
It's not too difficult to set up, and has tons of features --- very well planned and executed IMHO.
Unlike daynah, I can't say I've ever run anything else.
I like writing my own. I think that message boards like these have WAY too much extra stuff. Plus it's always free when you make it yourself, and always to your likings (if you know what you're doing, anyway).
PHPBB is okay, though. I've never had it on one of my own sites, however.
Here's another one that looks pretty good. http://www.woltlab.info/en/news.php

Thanks for the replys.
daynah - of phpBB and Invision Board which one would you say was easiest to incorporate into your own page template?
Thanks again.
I'd vote for phpBB, I found it easier to configure than invisionboard and I've used in on a few different sights with completely different looks.
Good Luck.

Definitely Invisionboard. There's a whole template system in the admin interface. phpBB's template was more difficult to edit, but the default template is really nice. You can take a look at my board to see the types of templates I incorporated.
I'd definitely have to suggest using InvisionBoard. They just keep getting better
