Difficult one - data across the net

Hi,

I am desining a web site - a page in the web site needs to be basically called by another web site - i.e. another web site links to the page passing on variables to it.

How do I do this???????????😕

I thought about passing on variables in the header e.g. http://www.mysite.com/link.php?var1=hello&var2=whatever
and so on - but there is a problem here - firstly i do not know if this will work - i have not tested it and also the variables need to be secure.

The web site needs to pass a variable to my page in a secure way - i.e. no-one can see it - so it can't appear in the headder - maybe i could encrypt it but that is not perfect.

Is there any way of passing variables from one page to another - not using sessions - securly?

Or - I have not really given thought to this - but is it possible to pass sessions onto other sites?

...and hide all the data in forms, with the action being the webpage you need called.

The only problem with this is you have to use a submit button of some sort. Then just grab the variables with POST or GET commands on the receiving site, and you're set.

Hope that helps, I don't think you can pass sessions along page to page, maybe I'm mistaken. Good luck.
