Rename field name

i need to change just the names of fields in my mysql databases every couple of weeks. is there a quick way to do this. either by coding or with software?

just code the query in php

it's an alter table ..

do i need to do alter table and set all the table vairbles or is there a way i can just change the table name ?

ALTER TABLE original_name RENAME new_name;

it's just that easy.

sorry misread :

here is what you want :

ALTER TABLE 'tablename' CHANGE field_to_change1' newfieldname1 VARCHAR(10) NOT NULL, CHANGE field_to_change2 newfieldname2 INT(10) NOT NULL, CHANGE ...
and so on for each name you want to change.
you'll have to specify the type of the field even if you don't change it ...

also you don't have to call change fieldname if you don't want to change the name ....

if your table has 5 fields and you want to change 2 fieldname, just use 2 changes
