Reading Mail Attachment

Can someone point me to a guide on how to read/parse email attachments? I have been searching for a week now and everything I have found just has vague references to the IMAP functions and MIME. I have been trying to interpret the IMAP pages in the PHP manual, but I haven't been able to come up with much. I know how to get the various parts of MIMe headers, etc, but I don't know how to use that information to get the attachment. Help would be appreicated.

I would suggest you to use a MIME library to process MIME messages. I have one that is perfect for simple tasks, I have not tested it with more advanced stuff but I bet it should work. I'll try to attach it to this message, hope it would be useful.

Unles I am missing something, this is the exact opposite of what I need. I have found infinite resources on composing MIME email, but nothing on READING them.

Basically I need to rip images out of MMs messages and Emails.
