Greetings.
I am new to this place so i'm not sure if i'm posting my question in the right forum.
I admit i'm desperate for a solution since i'm dragging this since a while already. 🙁
A crash occured on my server and after rebooting the server i got several complaints saying nobody could login inside 2 of our systems using sessins to store login and passwords.
Inquiring about it, i saw the sessions files in the TMP folder of the server are all 0 bytes, like if php couldn't write anymore it sessions there.
Fortunatly the bug disapeard after few days.
But knowing my luck, here goes after a month, another crash!
This time a mysql database got corrupt and the bug returned
and this time, it not going away. It been 1-2 weeks.....
I tried changing the PHP.INI session saving path to a custom made folder set to 1777. It saving the sessions as 0 bytes files again.
No errors reports in the 2 php systems using sessions. It just refuse to let people login, no messsages at all. A simple reload like if nothing has happen.
I tested the sessions with a little program which increment a value in a session file. And yet, it never increment.
I flushed the tmp folder, i verified the php.ini, i rebooted the apache server, i fixed the corrupt database, i rebooted the server twice.
Yet nothing fix the bug 😕
Help would be greatly appreciated!
I thought about upgrading php, maybe it could fix the problem but my server is using plesk webappliance...still haven't found anywhere explaining how to upgrade php on a plesk.
Yet, i hope there is another solution other than upgrading php and risking to create even more trouble.
thanks
server:
Red hat linux 7.1
PLesk webappliance 2.5
PHP 4.0.6(Well i think, my memory not so good about this, but i know it between 4.0.1 and 4.0.9)
