Print table help

I need to make the table widths adjustable. This code is part of a PHP code segment.

I tried adding width="300" inside the <TD> tag, but when I load the page it doesn't display anything, so....I'm thinking I don't know what I'm doing. 🙂

print ("<table><TR CLASS='left'><TD>&nbsp;</TD><TD>Job Title</TD><TD>Availability</TD><TD>Date Posted</TD></TR>");

first off use echo instead of print then

echo "<table><TR CLASS='left'><TD width='300'>&nbsp;</TD><TD>Job Title</TD><TD>Availability</TD><TD>Date Posted</TD></TR></table>";
