im building a mailing list program... and im pretty sure i know how to do it. i have been told that it can be inefficient to recall all emails from a database, then loop then into the mail() function using while () function. oh and it'll be for 10000+ email addresses

is this inefficient, or have i been lied to ?

This method is absolutely inefficient, for 10K+ emails being sent out, it would take hours and that means the script may lock up.

Your best bet is to use software such as majordomo, or something that was meant to handle mass email.
