Any chance of losing the ads to the right

Ok l know you guys need to pay costs 😉 But the ads on the right are cramping up the forums 🙁 How about trialing out a donation system or something instead?

I must agree with jazz. People with smaller screens have very little room for the rest of the post. And with PHP or Code in the post it realy makes it hard. The add should be moved.

No probs. I have rpanning's problem at work (800x600) but it's cool on my home rig🙂

Yeah, it does tend to make things cramped. I have a large resolution, but I keep my window fairly small. I think what's needed more is a different messageboard built to fit the PHPbuilder website, so it doesn't screw up. For instance, scroll down when posting a reply.

I'll be happy to help redesign one.

Thanks for the offer, but Jupiter runs vBulletin on all their sites - well the 16 with forums, that is.

The problem with the reply page is my fault. I started to fix it and then got distracted. The borders were on so that I could see what I was doing. One of these days I'll fix it.

I didn't realise they used vBulletin on all of their pages, though.

Wouldn't it have been easier to make one that fit your own layout, though? The ad bug on the reply page doesn't appear to be that big of a problem, just put everything that vBulletin outputs into a <td>, and then make another with the ad in it.

Ya, making two cells for the ad and forum would be easy with the templating feature. May I also note that you should change the forum template so that the other PHPBuilder "tabs" are at the top; Articles, Code Lib, etc... along with the search box. Not that it's a huge deal but a suggestion. Just to conform with the site more.
