PHP on IIS4 with sessions!!

HELP!

I'm doing a web site for a client using php4 and can not get php to read session data.

The setup is as follows...

My Test Server...
Windows NT Workstation
Micrososft PWS 4
PHP 4.3.1

His Web Server...
Windows NT Server
IIS 4
PHP 4.3.1

Both our php.ini files are identical.

The problem I have is that, instead of using cookies (because IIS4 doesnt like cookies), I'm using sessions and session variables.

I find that I can write sessions to the web server but cannot seem to read them back!

It works fine on my test server but not on his.

I think it might be something to do with permissions on his system, but we've been thru everything.

Any help from you guys is greatly appreciated.

I am having a similar problem. I am not able to read the session variables.... they are not getting registered as i also check with isset() function. is there some configuration to be done in the php.ini file? I am using php version 4.3.1 and running apache webserver. I will really appreciate your help. thanks.

Have you started each line of any file that you are using sessions in with [man]session_start()[/man]?

yea i did mention session_start()

i found that the problem was in the setting for one of the fields in the php.ini file.....since i am running php on windows...
i changed the setting for the "session.save_path" in the php.ini file...now the variables are getting registered.
