print a file using printers

i have a page in html view(like this topic)....
and i want the user to click a button to view friendly view(without banner and and these graphics)....so he can print it....

I want to use a button to print this page to the printer....

how can i????

I Believe you can use a standard JavaScript link to creat the Print Link and print the page. It would be

<a href="javascript:window.print()">Print Page</a>

, and look like this: [URL=javascript:window.print()]Print Page[/URL]. However I am unsure of how you could automatically create the printable pages though but this should solve your button problems.

Something isn't write... In the word "java-script" there is no space or hyphen, the forums are seperating the word. It is just one word.

As for your printer button, check out http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/other1.htm It's a cross-browser print button. Hope this helps!
