need help asap!

Well this seems to be complecated because this will be a longer description lets start:

I am currently writing a Delphi Client / Server Application...
Now I got the Idea to let the Server do an OnlineSignatur and integrate it into my Webpage via PHP...

The Problem is a friend build me the PHP-Script cauze I have no Idea about PHP yet...

What is does and what I need:

One PHP Script will read the message which comes from my Server Application and will then write it do a file on the Webserver to store that information (IniStructure File) another PHP Script then will read the INIFile and put all information into my WebPage so I could view it later....

The Problem is:

1. Is there a Way to rebuild the PHP Script in that way that it will be more safe when for example more then one of my Server Applications are posting the Data to the Script File 1...

What I mean is I will prevent that not 200 Users will write to the Script at once so that the File will not get corrupted...

2. Modifiying the Output: Because in the moment it will put the output for the Webpage to show the Informations in this way:

3. PC - Blah
   IP - 255.255.255.255
   Online - NO

4. PC

3. PC

But I would love to get it this way:

1. PC 2.PC 3.PC
   IP... .... .....
   Online... .... ......

2. PC and so on...

So maybe its possible to set how many PC to display in the first line???

hi,

1. flock() is used to lock and unlock files during write-operations,
   check php.net - docs for details
   maybe a database can help, don't be afraid, it's not a tough on with PHP 😉

2. probably, read all info into an array and output as you want

I would use a Database if I could so I decided to use an Inifile...

I've downloaded the IniFile Script from this side ...

So maybe its possible to modify it in this way that if it's in use so no one else should write to the dat.file I created??

I don't understand how to build the output array you talked about can you give me an example please? (As I told you I am a newby 😕

i don't know this script, but search for every write-operation
(fput, fwrite etc.) and insert a flock()-call in front and after it:

flock($fd,2);
fputs($fd,$content);
flock($fd,3);

2.
use a two-dimensional array

$pcs = array();
// query-stuff
while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($query))
{
  $pcs[] = $row;
}

for ($j=0; $j<sizeof($pcs[0]); $j++)
{
  for ($i=0; $i < sizeof($pcs); $i++)
  {
    echo $pcs[$i][$j];
  }
}

in fact I have no idea if this works, but it's worth a try 😃

Also erstens super vielen dank für dein posting...

Ich benutze keine Datenbank aber ich hab deine SQL Befehle gesehen ...

Wenn du Zeit und Lust hast würde ich Dir gerne zeigen wie ich es gemacht habe vielleicht ist der Fehler im detail...

Nur mal kurz zu meiner Vorgehensweise...

1. IniClass wird benutzt...
2. Delphi Programm (sendet eine URL an ein PHP Script auf dem WebServer)
3. Weiteres Script bastelt dann aus den werten aus der URL ein Inifile wo danach dann die Einträge drinstehen...

4.Und noch ein Script zeigt dann die Einträge aus der Inidatei auf der Webseite an...

Wie gesagt bei Interesse schick ich dir gerne alles zu würde mich sehr freuen da 3 Änderungen gemacht werden müssten (sehr kleine) nur wie gesagt ich bin Delphi Programmieren und kein PHP Chef :mad: Aber leider ist es Super wichtig für mich!

?? na wie du siehst, wird doch schon vorbildlich
flock() benutzt!! Die Datei kann also nicht
versehentlich gleichzeitig geschrieben werden.
Allerdings weiss ich nicht, was passiert, wenn
mehrere User direkt zur gleichen Zeit drauf
zugreifen, ob PHP wartet oder nen Fehler
zurueckgibt, aber ich denke mal, da gibt's
einen grosszuegigen Timeout
