mysql select query problem: 2 tables(how do I use join to do this?)

I have two tables: A, B

Table B
B.fsid
B.fid
B.sid

Table A
A.sid
A.title
A.rating
etc.

Selecting all the fields in A for all those A.sid that B.fid is equal to a certain value. In other words, I want to use Table B values to filter Table A. Is it possible to use the join statement?

I will worship the one who answers this. 😕 As this problem has been driving me nuts for so long.

Thanks but nope that doesn't work. I already tried it before.

Anybody have any other ideas? This problem really really driving me nuts.

Tried LEFT JOIN?

I see you have an a.sid and a b.sid. Shpuld the join be on those two fields?

Hello, it seems to work in with php admin software but it doesn't work when I use it in my script. Here's the query:

SELECT stories.* LEFT JOIN divfandom USING(sid) WHERE divfandom.fid='WK' LIMIT 0, 30

You missed out the 'FROM stories'

SELECT stories.* FROM stories LEFT JOIN divfandom USING(sid) WHERE divfandom.fid='WK' LIMIT 0, 30
