reading external var in class

hello,
im writing a class and i would need to read vars from an included file (where i store things like dbserver and so...)
i tried something like

require_once "var.inc";
class MyClass {
var $user;
var $pass;
function MyClass {
...
}
}
?>
the fact is that once inside the class, the vars from var.inc are no longer available
for ex if in function MyCLass i put an echo $servername ($servername is stored in var.inc) that come out totally empty...

any help?

I think thats becuz of teh basic structure of classes. THey are self contained applications. But however in ur case, i think u can make an exception since all u need is some variables.

So to access $servername, which is stored in the var.inc, u can use this:

$GLOBALS['servername']

Tell me how that turns out.

or store the vars in your config file in an big array which you will submit to your class.
