multiple, grouped, ordered list menus

yoyo...i need a little help...

i'm trying to do a query from the db to create a series of listmenus...all of this information comes out of just one table...generally it's like this...these things (for our purposes here) are grouped by "id"...

$query = mysql_query ("SELECT * from table GROUP BY tempid ORDER by id");

then...the output on the page will be something like this (just a schematic here)...looped for each obviously...

listmenu1...things that equal tempid 2

listmenu2...things that equal tempid 2

listmenu3...things that equal tempid 3

but i can't get the results output properly...any advice? i'm missing simple here...

Can you post your code here?

The idea behind that is basically you start a new menu when the id has changed. To check that the id has changed, you can have a variable that keeps track of the last id.
