Looking for ANY help - Creating Dynamic Database

Hello all,

I'm just wondering if anyone here can help me out. I want to put together a kind of database on my website that will keep track of address's and locations. The idea is to have users be able to enter the address's, as well as ratings and stuff, of stores relating to my website (vintage games) into the database from my website. Then I also want users to be able to search the database for stores in their area, and have valid results be shown to them.

What I'm looking for is any php programs that you guys know of that fits the bill. I have very little experience in the world of php, so the simpler, the better. Also, if anyone is looking for some experience in setting something like this up, I'd be more than happy to have someone help get it all running.

If any of this doesn't make sense, or you need so more specific information, let me know!

Sounds simple enough, you just need to provide a little more information.

What platform will it run on ?
What version of PHP do you have ?
What type of DBMS are you using/plan to use ?
What do you have done already versus what needs to be done ?
Do you plan to compensate someone for writing the scripts you need ?

i wouldnt mind helping ya with it. the problem is the shockwave version of ur site is done is flash...and i have no experience with flash and php

First off here is the answers to those questions:

What platform will it run on ?
Red Hat Linux.

What version of PHP do you have ?
PHP 4.2.2

What type of DBMS are you using/plan to use ?
MySQL

What do you have done already versus what needs to be done ?
Nothng vs Everything ( Really just have an idea of what I want to do, but have no idea where to start)

Do you plan to compensate someone for writing the scripts you need ?
If my happiness isn't reward enough, the most I can do is give you credit for the work done. This could be a link back to your own site, or just a link to your e-mail, or whatever you want really.

This next part is for Nathan__02: Although my site does have a shockwave version, I have structured it so that the shockwave aspects of the site are in separate frames. The end results means that the content areas of the page are straight hyper-text. Thus you don't need to know anything about shockwave or anything.

However, if you ever plan on doing this for a living, it's best to get used to idiots, who have no idea what your doing, telling you what to do.
