Does anyone know of a tutorial about how to make an email client? I am really bored with the crappy ones that you can download, so i thought it was about time to make a better one.
I have searched for a tut on email clients, but doesn't seem to be one out there. There is a lot involved with one.
well there are the few semmi ok email clients out there like squirrel mail, but they are still not good. I really need to make a decent one. have you had any luck?

Connecting to POP server is quite easy.
see socket functions of PHP. then see "RFC" of POP3, IMAP at faqs.org
this much knowledge is good enough to build one.
