Does anybody know how to get the last 5 directories created?

This is an operating system issue, and I don't know of any modern operating system where this would be easy to determine. Some of the newer Journaling file systems may keep track of such actions, but I doubt there is a simple tool which will display the "last five directories created".

If you need to keep track of the directories created by your PHP scripts, then keep a log file and add to it when the scripts create directories.

PHP has no function to grab the file creation date but you can easily find the last 5 modified folders (which under certain OS's would work the same). This code will check the current directory that the script is in:
