Trying to create user Profile Page

Here is what i would like to make: Similar to [url]http://profiles.yahoo.com,[/url] i would like my friends to be able to go to my site, register a username and pass, then dump a whole bunch of info to a form (age, location,etc.) and provide a link for a picture.

Then i would like to create a page that lists all the profiles that have been created. This way, visitors to the site can see all the friends that have created a profile.

I know there are a bunch of scripts out there to make dating services, and classifieds and all that.. i am just not savvy enough to get them to taylor to my needs. All I want is a very basic version of http://profiles.yahoo.com so that my firends and i can keep track of each other. (they would be able to edit their own profiles.)

Does anyone know if there is a pre-made set of scripts to do this?

Thanks. I did try that site, and found some nice user authentication type scripts that allow profiles, but they also require each person to register to view the pages too. I would like something that doesn't have all the bells and whistles ... the one that I did find that i thought would work was in a foriegn language. :rolleyes:
