string into variable

Hi,
I have the following problem:

use

xxxx thisisaword

to make

<a href="thisisaword .html"> thisisaword </a>

(all words in a long document marked xxxx in front need to be converted to hyperlinks of the same name)

if anyone has a code sniped - that would be most appreciated

Here is a script you can use to list all .html files in a folder. Change the $folder to what dir to list (. for current). When it is run all of the .html files will be displayed as a link. All "_" are replaced with " ", ex: "test_file.html" is shown as "test file" on the Web page. Check out http://www.phpbuilder.com/board/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10222157 for more details about it.
