BLOB fields take too much space ?

i have a mysql database that is made up of 11 tables, each with at most 20 records, and in none of the fields is the text too large, but still the database seems to be taking 44 MB of diskspace...can this be because i am using some BLOB fields, even though the text inside them is 10 rows tops ?

are there images in the blob fields or what is in them. if they are not images change to text.

r u trying to say that Blob data type is for images and Text data type is only for plain text?

no what i am trying to say is just what i said above. As far as i can see nothing in my above statement says anything about "plain" text.

the blob in my database contain only text, and not very much text either....say around 500 tops for each record
