MySQL Dump

Hi,

I can't spend much time online so my host suggested I make a MySQL dump offline. Only I'm not sure what this is exactly, could someone find the time to quickly explain this to me if at all possible.

mysqldump is a program that comes with mysql and enables you to back up the structure and/or data of any given database or a table.
