How to make application depend on keyfile

Hi,

How do I make an application depend on a keyfile, e.g. key.php? I somehow need to check if key.php exists and if it is a valid file before the application can run. If key.php does not exist or if it is no longer valid I shouldn´t be able to enter the application.

I´m quite new at this so please be indulgent with my question. Thanks, Anna.

Why would you want to do that ? Can you explain more ?

I think anyone with php knowledge could drop an empty key.php if there is none, and override your 'security'...
