How do you connect to a MySql database ?

I am using PhPMyAdmin, which is distributed by http://firepages.com.au in combination with MySQL, Apache and PhP.

will that work on windows XP ?
phpmyadmin is installed on the server that has the database, not your own computer (unless that is where the db is).
It will work on xp.
Got it, not wokring thought but getting there.
