phpMyAdmin php or php3 ?

What the diffrence between the two ? How do I know which one works for me ?

think it depends on which php you're running, or more importantly, if you have apache set to parse php3 files or not. I think the difference is that instead of being .php files, the php3 one uses .php3 files.

So if your apache doesnt parse .php3 files, then I'd get the .php one (which i think means if you're on php 3, then get the php 3 pne, otherwise just get php)

Just tested both and it seems my host can only handle .php

When trying to connect to a .php3 file, it would just download instead of executing the files

You can check the extention in httpd.conf file if you r using apache web server , in this file you can check the exact ext.
You can change this what ever you want or add the same line with outher extention then both will work.

so definetly both will work if you can change the httpd.conf file.

Morover here php means all php file with .php extention and php3 means .php3 file.
