PHP Editor

Hi,

I was just wondering what people use as a PHP editor. I use PHPed by Ergin Soysal, but it crashes alot, when you save or open files. I'm using an old version, but I think it got brought out by nusphere last year, and now costs $299. Are there any good FREE (or cheap) PHP editor?

There's alot of choice. I believe the Macromedia offering has been well received.

I use editpad lite for basic changes and I use PHP Edit for anything major.

PHP Edit's free and IDE which means it's got syntax suggestions and everything. It does crash but so infrequently as not to matter. Occassionally it asks me something in french where the "internationalisation" hasn't reached that far and I click "oui" or "non" depending on instinct. Worth the effort to download and trial.

PHP Expert Editor is brilliant. You can get it on trial for a month and it costs £20 after that to buy. It also has a very good interactive debugger.
