I am an experienced IIS/COM developer and I am currently trying to improve my skill in the Unix/Linux & Apache enviroment.
I am used to using PHP to access COM objects and I am wondering if Unix/Linux has an equivalent. I like modularity and reusability that COM offers, and I refuse to believe that Microsoft come up with the idea all by themselves. 🙂
I would like to avoid having to develop and compile new modules for Apache, but if this is the only way, then I guess it is the only way.
