iframe & setcookie: can't get'm to work together

I have a small script that enters an html page through an iframe. One line of the script sets a cookie. If the script is called in and of itself, the cookie sets fine. But if the script is called through the iframe, the cookie doesn't set, and I'm having a hard time figuring out why. Can anyone help??

is there any data being passed to the script that it needs to set the cookie?
If so, make sure you're sending that data to the page in the iframe.
