Alternate week display

I am trying to find a way to display a diferent color background file or some way display an alterneting color by week.

This client does pickups on alternate week schedules and want to be able to have folks see their website and know which week they are operating.

I don't see any week number functions and don't know if there is a way to recognize odd/even numbered weeks if that should be the method.

Anyone know where I should look for some direction here?

If its just a table full of info then just do

for [Expression to do for each row]

if($odd == "1"){
$colour = "#123456";
$odd = "0";
}else{
$colour = "#789101";
}

echo "<tr><td bgcolor=\"$colour\">"

and so on.

Is $odd a time function?

This looks like it shows how to use if statement to choose a color by even/odd number, that helps a lot, thanks!

But is it detecting a week number? Is that what $odd is?

in order to get a numeric representation of the week use 'date(W)'. For example at the time of this post it is the 15th week of 2003.

print date(W);

//Outputs ...
