URGENT please: updated php but version doesn't change

i though i just upgraded php (4.2.3-4.3.0), but my version didn't change in phpinfo();

This install:

with this configure:

I did a make>make install>and restarted, but no luck.

i guess you installed PHP to a different folder than the one before?
if so, edit your httpd.conf and adjust its php-settings

I thought of things like directories and stuff

i changed this

#LoadModule php4_module /usr/lib/apache/libphp4.so
LoadModule php4_module /usr/local/php/libs/libphp4.so

and restarted, but no luck. any other ideas, please?

Normally Php copies the libphp4.so file into the modules subdir of apache2.

look if you have two versions of libphp4.so on your system.
( find / -name libphp4.so ) add the path of the correct file to the LoadModule section
