Sending email in HTML/Text format

Hi y'all!

Is there anyone out there who can help me solving the next problem?

I'm trying to send an email to a person that just subscribed to my forum, but it doesn't seem to work properly. I want to send the email in HTML-format! Sending it in plain text is NOT a problem!

What is the official way to send email in HTML or TEXT format? Where can I find this info?

but you need content-type = text/html in your headers.
