Apache/SSL/RH 8.0 HELP

While my PHP is pretty solid, I need some serious help here. I am attempting to setup apache and openssl. I have them both intsalled correctly, but am having trouble setting up the virtual host in the apache conf file.

can someone please please please walk me through this process?!

my hostname is: agiraPMG
the box's IP: 10.1.1.35

I keep recieving CN does not match hostname errors?! (Even though they do match?)

currently only on an intrAnet, I realize i will have to change ip's for production on the internet.

Is there a local DNS server on the IntrAnet? What does it say your name is?

Also, in httpd.conf there is a line, usually commented out by default, to the effect of "if Apache can't figure out its hostname, you can tell it to Apache here...."

You might see if that's been done already.

It was actually my own fault here...I had everything setup correct...But I never modifeid the ssl.cnf file........

I was generatign keys for "localhost@localdomain" and self signing certificates for secure.mydomain

Sometimes I gues it helps to just turn down the volume on the prodigy, step outside have a smoke, wait ten minutes.....and look at it again.... 🙂
