Current Date forward specific info

I'm trying to get specific info based on current date to show up with all future data.

Say I have an event happening 2003-04-12, it will show this info at the top and then list all future events after in alternating row colors. Then if you come back tomorrow that event is nolonger listed and the next event is at the top of the list and so forth.

I've tried messing with the current date and greater than stuff but, being new to this stuff I'm screwing it up somewhere...probably not even close to where I need to be.

Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Compare mktime()s. This function returns the UNIX timestamp for a specified date.
