Hi,
I have been working on a RH8.0 Linux box for some monthd now developing a number of sites for friends and customers.
In the last fe days I've encountered a really strange thing. I was building some authorisation scripts using a combination of PEAR DB and a script that I downloaded when my page would hang on my local machine as soon as I tried to set a cookie. I would be simply left with Mozilla busy waiting for a response.
If I hit the page from a nearby machine, I get really good performance and everything works just like a bought one.
I have looked for php errors, httpd errors but nothing gives me any clue as to what is happening.
I did recentl configure Squid to allow a few machine at home to share my ADSL connection, but why should that cuase this.
I would really appreciate some pointers to ways in which to check what is happening.
Thanks in advance.
Barry
