New Question: HTTP Headers, wanna get some of em

this is what the header sent kinda looks like(according to another.host.ph):

GET http://some.host.ph/subfolder
Accept: text/vnd.wap.wml
User-Agent: Some Kind of Browser
MSISDN: 12345678906
Host: another.host.ph

I wanna get the value of MSISDN here.
how do I get it?

For REMOTE_ADDR, i can get it by using $REMOTE_ADDR
but I can't get MSISDN by using $MSISDN.

What could be my mistake?

I think you need to post your code and describe better what you are doing...

Are these the headers sent by the client, or the headers your server is sending out?

If you're getting the headers via a PHP script:
turn on output buffering, echo the headers, remove everything but that line (ereg_replace, preg_replace, etc.), then get the data.
Or just search and retrieve that line, break it up at spaces and get the last entry.

If you need help, look at output buffering (ob_start, etc) in the manual.

I read again the manual and came across this getallheaders ( ) function. Will this reaLLy help me? Here is how I used it.

$header=getallheaders( );
$MSISDN= $header["MSISDN"];

is this fine? I haven't actually seen the results yet, coz I am on vacation right now. ^{v^,} can't log in to see the results not until Monday April 21, 2003.....

PlanetSim, I am trying to get the actual value being passed. because MSISDN supposedly contains a number value I need to store in database for transaction tracking, MSISDN was said to be passed in the headers part.

LaserLght, well I thought of that too, but haven't actually tried yet, I'll try it next, thanks. Haven't tried yet, Because getallheaders( ) seemed more reliable at the time I was reading and comparing these two methods, though getallheaders ( ) might prove inefficient cause I am trying to get only one value, hehehehehehe

I'll try it as soon as I get back to work this Monday.
Holy Week here in the Phils. means no office work.

I'll also check if getallheaders( ) worked, coz I already implemented it before I left for vacation. Hehehehehe

The getallheaders( ) I used before I went on vacation, it worked. It is finally getting the MSISDN values, I just checked the Results in the database......
