Echo command with an if clause?

Hello,

I have a php page that has an echo command that "echos" a whole html page with variables. These variables are data from a database. The thing is that some data is not included and I am not sure how to conceal the data.

For example: in my situation, I have a people search that you type in the name of a member and then a php page gives the name, phone number, address, email and so forth. But if someone dosn't want to list their phone number that's fine. What happens when someone searches for a person who has no phone number is that it says "Phone Number: " and a big blank space. Is ther a way to remove the "Phone number" and the big space?

echo("Phone Number: ".$phonenum);
}

You can replace $phonenum with whatever your SQL query data is stored in. (An array works, as well.)
