What do you use PHP for?

What do you use PHP for on your site? I use it mostly for pulling the current date and getting system info for now. Once I get my head around MYSQL I will be able to store and pull bookmark lists and peoples contact info.

Storing users, image manipulation, playing around, displaying news, keeping a forum, any dynamic content... you name it.

I use PHP for anything I need done dynamically.

I don't have a site that uses PHP, believe it or not... I do help others more then I would ever help myself haha... 😛 I think I'll start a website tonight...

I use it for everything that cannot be done in static HTML and when the server runs on Linux. When the server os is win use ASP or .NET.

I use to use PHP just for site creation so, news, downloads, uploads etc.. Just to make my life easier

Thats before that site went..

I know create scripts for others.. SO far created 3..
But basically create scripts that can be used within a website..

oop wise, i think u can pretty much do anything c can do... well, cept for visuals, but i'm starting to wonder if even graphics are completely possible in php. (form windows, etc.) u can do anything u want with php. you just have to want to code it and get a nice project. i started using php 3 years ago and i'm 18 now. smartest thing i've ever done was get into it. file manipulation, ftp progz, web authoring tools, scientific calc, irc clients... you name it, it can be done.
