Need some help/advice on coding some PHP

Hello everyone. I am back. I have been assigned a task at work (Learning PHP for one 🙂 ) to do some basic testing with PHP. This is what they want me to do:

This is a mortgage company and we are going to setup the web page in a way so when people view our page, a banner of some sort will pop up with a picture of a customer, a picture of one of our employees, and a quote from the customer. They then want it randomized so when you come back to the page, another random set of images will be generated and displayed.

Ok, so what I figured out is that I need to create a main page file and other files for the customers, quotes and employees.

I have setup the main page file and other necessary files (customer, employee and quotes).

My question is, how would I go about setting this up so when the web page id viewed, a random customer is pulled up with the appropriate quote connecting to the appropriate employee?

Boy, this is making me confused just typing it.

If you want this all to be in one image, you're going to have to use GD imaging. However, if you're just going to display a few images through HTML, you can use the <img> tag to go to a PHP script that outputs the correct random image.

First, we start by making a database. This can either be a file, or an actual database. I'd recommend the latter, as it is more organized and easier to edit. The database is going to need three tables, or three places to store like data. The tables are going to need the image names for the employee, the image name for the customer, and the quote.
You're going to need an ID on all of these, as this ID is going to be the random number you pick to display.

Two random numbers must be retrieved before a database call is made to retrieve the information. This is done through rand.

A database is now called to retrieve information from the database. One random number goes toward employee, whereas the other number goes toward the customer and quote (both are the same ID because the customer said that quote in particular).

Information is now output to the user. This can be done via fopen and fread, or by readfile if you feel lazy. 😉

store all the photos and quotes in an array and then have it pick a random number
