Regular expression...

I feel stupid, lol... of what I know, I am not great with regular expressions, All I am simply wanting to do, is not allow people to have anything but alphanumeric characters in their name... So I am trying to do a regular expression to return boolean so I can either say "You have illegal characters in your name, try again." or "Nothing is wrong with your name, go ahead". So how do I make it so it checks for alphanumeric and won't allow anything else? Thanks for any help.

Yeah they can be tricky, but they're great. I'm no expert with them yet. But anyways, some really good reading is here. I'd definately check it out if you want to learn more about regular expressions.
