New window via submit

I need a jumpstart here. I want to open new window of results when someone clicks a SUBMIT button in a form, and in that new window display the results.

I've set up the code and included it where I want, in a table on a page. My IF statement works great for $PHP_SELF; but the results display IN THAT TABLE. So to work around it, I'd like to just have the user click on the button and view the results in the new window.

Well, maybe a simple solution would be to solve using html, i.e.
<form target="_blank" ... >
?

Can you do that in the form tag directly? I know you can do it with a link.
