Number generation for booking numbers

Hi everyone

The problem that I am having is as follows.

I have an online booking form, each booking willl have a number between 000-999, the number must be unique. I am having problems figuring out how to get the next avalible number from the database. Especially then the number is 999 and needs to be resent to 000.

Any ideas on how i could do this would be great

you could select the number and then add 1 to it and check to see if the number is 999 then set the variable to 000
