Connecting to MS Access

Help:
I have set up an ODBC connection for my Access database, but am getting the following error when submitting the form: Previous Entries in database Warning: SQL error: [unixODBC][Driver Manager]Data source name not found, and no default driver specified, SQL state IM002 in SQLConnect in /home/kslate/public_html/DataAccess.php3 on line 28 Error in odbc_connect Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid ODBC-Link resource in /home/kslate/public_html/DataAccess.php3 on line 62

My first and primary concern is just connecting to the database. If you would like to test for yourself please go to http://webdev.spsu.edu/~kslate/tpaper_form.php Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

its saying that your odbc isn't set up properly, or your connection string is wrong... Check with your Unix admin if your user account has permissions for this ODBC connection.

My guess is when you setup the database you created it as a User DSN ... I'm using Windows XP PRO but this is how it should be done ... Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC) > Click System DSN Tab > Add ... and go through the regular motions. Then use this as the connection string:

$db = odbc_connect('NAME OF DS','','');

hey bulldog, that'd be great if was using windows, but the file path tells you he's on a flavor of Unix, like Linux or something, and especially so since its and .edu site
