getting file scanned while uploading?

I am trying to scan files by norton antivirus when files are getting uploaded... . But i don't know how to get Norton scan
invoked with the uploaded files as input from php script.
can anybody help me out.

This has been discussed somewhere before.. If i remember ill get a link may have some helpful information. Anyway, i think you need to use COM to get Norton, than get it to scan the file. Which will happen after its fully installed.

Couldn't you just use a system command to tell norton to scan the file while its in the temporary part of the web server?

But what will be the command line to invoke norton with the name of the file to be scanned.

Why don't you try invoking the command line application and add /? to the end to see what comes up as your choices. Or if all else failes, read the documentation.....
