a mysql qestion

a have a table like this:

ID|NAME|AGE|COLOR____|
1--|Peter----|18---|red
2--|George--|21----|yellow
3--|Ivan-----|18---|red
4--|George--|20----|Black
5--|Vladi----|28---|purple
6--|Nick-----|31---|yellow
7--|Ivan-----|18---|red
8--|George--|20----|Black

Now I want to have a querry that will return only the used different colors like:
red, yellow, black, purple

and not red,yellow,red,black,purple,yellow,red,black
