This one is not quite PHP related... I am migrating servers. I have all my apps moved but I need the old server to redirect ALL page requests to the new server. It would be nice to also have it redirect to the correct page. Example:
http://mysite.com/ftp/ftp.php redirected to either http://myNEWsite.com or http://myNEWsite.com/ftp/ftp.php. Any ideas? I am bad at mod_rewrite...

just use

Redirect /olddirectory http://www.newserver.com/newdirectory/

(this is not even mod_rewrite)

Well, I need a way other that an .htaccess file. I have completely erased the file structure on the web doc root and need to have it not serving pages, only redirecting. One .htaccess file would not serve this purpose, would it? Let's say my scripts call for a page that is in 3 or 4 more deep subdirectories. Would this one .htaccess file in the doc root still redirect?

well, I tried a local example, and it seems it works!
